FISH. DRIVE. SURVIVE.

The Motiv Fishing Team

It started out as an idea between a few adventurers and fishing friends years ago. While on a 5 month expedition across Patagonia… it became a vision. These experienced fishermen decided to put their vision into action, and the Motiv Fishing team was born! They then set out to document an epic 20,000 mile vegetable oil fueled fly fishing journey through Mexico, Central America, and South America. They are still traveling the world with one focus… getting off the grid as far as possible with a fishing rod in one hand and camera in the other!

The Motiv Fishing crew teamed up with Costa to produce an award-winning series called GEOBASS. This series is now back for a second season of wild adventures! The boys will continue to look for undiscovered locations and new ways to find and catch fish like no one has before. The teams success and sometimes even their lives depend on the gear they use on a daily basis.  They’ve discovered that despite the skill and experience one might have, success or failure usually depends on the equipment you bring along for the ride.

Carlson_GEOBASS_GY_-99They’ll keep risking life and limb to make their dream of catching bass around the world a reality with the aid of the best outdoor gear on the planet. Season two’s first episode takes the boys deep into the sweltering jungles of Brazil’s Amazon River. The fish deep in the outer reaches of Guyana, The Solomon Islands, Texas, Australia and Papua New Guinea are beckoning. Red bass, black bass, large and smallmouth bass, and barramundi are all in their sights. If the team can avoid third-world jail cells, deadly waters with crocodiles, and the armed drug cartel, we might even see a third season!

“The watershed bags will be indispensable, as we will be living out of them the entire trip.”  – Brian Jill

It makes us proud to hear praise from these extreme adventurers, taking our bags as far off the grid as they can with the drive to catch the biggest bass on the planet!
