Tomorrow Danny Braught, Gabriel Gray (@GrayOutdoors), and a few others will depart on a 150 mile SUP journey down the Buffalo National River in Northern Arkansas.
The Buffalo River was the first to be designated as a National River in 1972 to protect the waterway from industrial usage and from being dammed up. These adventurers will be embarking on an expedition to explore the river in its entirety. They will begin at the very start of the river, right next to the highest point of the Ozarks mountains. They will be floating on inflatable SUP boards and sleeping, storing their gear in Watershed dry bags, and sleeping in Warbonnet Outdoors LLC hammocks.
This full-fledged Buffalo River expedition is being done to raise awareness for the Fight to SOAR (Save Our American Rivers). There will be media coverage throughout the journey, including an upcoming article in the May issue of Boarders Magazine. We wish these adventurers safe travels, and look forward to seeing and hearing about their trip over the next weeks!
