Buffalo SUP!

March 19th, 2015 No comments

Tomorrow Danny Braught,  Gabriel Gray (@GrayOutdoors), and a few others will depart on a 150 mile SUP journey down the Buffalo National River in Northern Arkansas.

The Buffalo River was the first to be designated as a National River in 1972 to protect the waterway from industrial usage and from being dammed up. These adventurers  will be embarking on an expedition to explore the river in its entirety. They will begin at the very start of the river, right next to the highest point of the Ozarks mountains. They will be floating on inflatable SUP boards and sleeping, storing their gear in Watershed dry bags, and sleeping in Warbonnet Outdoors LLC hammocks.11042991_10203860605295538_8399668030304699465_n

This full-fledged Buffalo River expedition is being done to raise awareness for the Fight to SOAR (Save Our American Rivers). There will be media coverage throughout the journey, including an upcoming article in the May issue of Boarders Magazine. Use the code danny at BoardersMag.com/subscribe to get 50% off a 2yr subscription.

We wish these adventurers safe travels, and look forward to seeing and hearing about their trip over the next weeks!

Adventure Fishing World Championship

Watershed is officially a 2015 AFWC sponsor!  We are extremely excited about this year’s tournament in Delacroix, Louisiana.  It looks like this will be the biggest year yet! They’ve even extended the fish length and the number of participants.
Keep an eye on the AFWC facebook page, as they’ll be posting up tech tips, updates, photos, and strategic planning for this years tournament. Their Youtube channel will also be updated with videos throughout the weeks leading up to and through the tournament.

Please feel free to share any of this media and let the world know what an awesome event the AFWC is! We look forward to seeing you all down in Delacroix on April 4th.
